Why this configuration
The L2 returns multiple echoes per pulse, which is what lets a scan reach the forest floor through canopy and produce a usable bare-earth model. RTK control ties the point cloud to a real coordinate frame for cut-block and watercourse work.

DJI Terra for pre-processing; LiDAR360 for classification, canopy height, and inventory metrics.
FAQ
Can LiDAR see through trees? Yes — enough pulses reach the ground between leaves and branches to reconstruct terrain under canopy, which photogrammetry cannot do.
